What is a blog?

A blog can be defined as a… “website on which an individual or group of users record opinions, information, etc. on a regular basis.”Blogs are rapidly being integrated into many educational communities positively impacting on the learning and development of pupils

Why are we blogging at Herbert Morrison?

Blogs offer a platform to communicate and collaborate together, opening a dialogue that can be enriched by those who wish to contribute.Blogging is a means for children to continue the journey of learning they embark upon beyond the walls of the classroom, into the homes and minds of friends or family globally. When blogging, teachers are able to celebrate and share pupil achievement by showcasing learning through photographs, videos and text uploads.

How do I access our school blogs?

At Herbert Morrison classes have published blogs to keep members of the school community up to date with the learning journeys they have been making throughout the week.In addition to these blogs, our school also has a selection of curriculum team blogs so be sure to visit these sites too for the latest subject information, resources and learning challenges.  You can launch our school blogs using the dropdown menu under the ‘Blogs’ tab, clicking on the blog name you wish to visit. The online welfare of pupils is paramount when blogging so please take the time to read through the E-safety guidelines for both blog and internet use.
